Book Reviews - Book Review Tips
When your book is in the planning stage, there is one crucial item that most new authors forget, it is marketing. It
is known to book reviewers as premarketing.
Most reviewers, not all, require at least three to four months to read and review your book before its publication. The
reason for this is reviewers have an extreme backlog of books that are being reviewed from those that have come before you.
Many publications are published weekly or monthly instead of daily, which also creates a backlog.
So because of this, the best way for you to get a manuscript reviewed, is to get the reviewer a good copy of your book,
as quickly as you can.
If my book has been published already, is it too late for a review?
Not always, there is a way to get your manuscript looked at without calling it a review.
Simply send out a press release, with details about your book. You can submit a press release to your local newspapers,
magazines, radio stations and to article web sites that allow press releases. Make your press release interesting, don't just
mention your name and the book you've published. Mention what your book is about and the special points of your book. Show
people how they can benefit from it or how it can solve a problem.
After a book reviewer writes or mentions your book, others will follow. Be ready and have copies available for these
book reviewers.
